Yard sales, coffee, and my amazing mother.

Today was just awesome. I went yard saling with my mom all morning in the most enchanting little neighborhood (I love the word enchanting!) then came home to pumpkin chocolate chip muffins, then went out with my mom to get coffee *cough hotchocolate cough* and go grocery shopping. It was a wonderful day. And I finally got some white shoes that I'm gonna decorate! I'll wear them to YG sometime...or maybe to swing dancing, that would be awesome! and I'll write on them "I <3 swing dancing" or "I like the way you rock step" =)

The good, the bad, and the ugly.

At our Halloween party last night I felt like God was playing "good thing, bad thing." That is a game where one person beings to tell a story and the narrator suddenly says "bad thing" and then everything in the story starts going downhill. Then it switches to a new person who picks up where the other person left off. The narrator can at any point in the story say "good thing" or "bad thing" and the person telling the story at that point has to change the story. So anyway...God was telling the story...it went something like this.

(good thing) One day Kailey and Darcy decided to have a Halloween party. They made a bunch of plans and got a bunch of lists and everything looked good. (bad thing) Then they learned that their parents would be out of town on the night of the party. Many parents wouldn't want their kids coming to a party where the host's parents wouldn't be home. (good thing) But they were allowed to have the party and a good sized group of people said they could come. The party plans were going great. They had chaperones, food, and games planned. (bad thing) Then on the night of the party they learned it was going to rain. And rain it did. Just as they were getting hot dogs roasted. (good thing) Luckily the girls had a large carport where everyone could shelter from the rain and play games and stuff. So they moved into the carport and played a few games and for the most part had a lot of fun. (bad thing) But when you have a bunch of teenagers...they don't really like to listen. It was so hard to get everyone's attention that there was a lot of yelling going on. (sorry!) (good thing) finally everyone was quiet and they played a few more games to end the night. For the most part everyone seemed to have enjoyed it and Kailey and Darcy had a blast. (bad thing) When everybody left the girls looked around at the huge mess and had to clean it all up. They worked for another hour and a half. (good thing) Then they looked around and it was all rather clean, and then they remembered daylight savings! They got to sleep in "late"! Gratefully they crawled into bed to sleep-then jumped out and brushed their teeth for like five minutes and then went to sleep.
The End.

Yup it was an interesting night. But God had planned it all from the start, so I hope everyone had fun-I know I sure did!

The sun is shining, the air is clear, and I am feeling awesome!

What a beautiful day! And it is all so wonderful now that I'm not at all sick anymore! I got better JUST in time to go swing dancing, (whew!) and it was a blast. I learned a super awesome new move that the instructors didn't even teach! I've been practicing the guys part just so I can teach my family the moves, so I now know how to do both parts. (this is very helpful, believe me.)
Lately I've been babysitting a lot and making more money, so I actually bought Kailey a good present for her birthday...I'd say what it is...but she reads my blog! ;P However on her birthday I'll post her "Happy Birthday Kailey!" post and then I'll say what it was.

Random Thought of the Day: Pumpkins generally do not make good basketballs...bowling balls however...;)

Fevers, headaches, and depressing posts

Lets see...I have a fever, a headache, and this is a depressing post! I win! Actually being sick is no fun....hey Lauren you could always make me some muffins. =) That would cheer me up! I can't go to game night or my friends house today. I just hope I'll be better by Sunday...pray for me guys, I feel like a giant piece of lead. =/ I'm gonna take a nap...

Spanish, shopping and writers block.

Spanish is not fun. To those of you who think it is-it's not. You are wrong. Of course that's just my opinion...I'm very opinionated. Personally I'd rather learn French-ooh la la! I'd rather say "Bonsoir, madmoiselle." then "Buenos tardes" <-- boring. *sigh* oh well.
Christmas is right around the corner...let the shopping madness, sales, fights, bargain hunting, traffic, and all the other crazy amazing stuff about christmas shopping begin! Seeing as Kailey's birthday is right around the corner too..extra shopping! =) Fun for me...not so much for my wallet. ;)
I've decided to write a book. *cough-yeah right-cough* but I have an amazing idea and I've started writing and I've got awesome characters and an amazing plot and then BOOM! It hits me. Writers. Block. Ugh. What is the best way to get past writers block? Some say "kill a character" others suggest "Add in a new character" still another idea "add a random insignificant plot twist" *sigh* these I have tried...any more ideas?

NOOOOOO!

I lost two of my sharpies! I can't find them anywhere! My sharpie loving heart is broken! *sniff* I-I guess I'll have to buy some new ones. Green and yellow...goodbye. sigh. Oh...and we saw about five more deer. They must really like us or something.

Swing Dancing with Mike

So that title was just to get your attention, but I really did swing dance with an amazing dancer named Mike. (He's like twenty for all you people who'll take that the wrong way) Seriously though, swing dancing class was AMAZING! I danced through eight songs and never got tired...well...maybe once or twice. =) It's a very good form of exercise. (so long treadmill!) Yup...I could go on all day bout that, but you'd get bored so I won't.

Anyways, today was the end of unit celebration for TOG. Seriously...why are we celebrating? We did school...But it ended up being a hilarious day. *Kailey is a genius* My whole class went to Azteca (mexican restaurant) for lunch to order spanish food. It was an average lunch...until our friend Logan left for a bit... Kailey decided to call over the waiter and tell him that it was Logan's birthday. It wasn't.
When he came back there they were-sombrero's, ice cream, and an awesome horn thingy-all ready to wish him a happy birthday. Yeah he was pretty embarrassed....and we were laughing so hard we couldn't even sing happy birthday to the "birthday boy". I think he forgave us *cough-Kailey-cough* in the end...he got free ice cream out of it. ;P

Oh and Happy birthday for real to:
Mandi
Shannon
Lauren
Christa
And anyone else who's birthday is in October!

Random Note: Robin Hood (Disney version-the one with the fox) is an awesome movie.
